Beholding Florence Susan Harrison's artworks I am swept away by their noble, haunting beauty. Her illustrations are regal, mostly of women; always of lingering grief or sadness, a deep, moving loss. I find these images incredibly lovely, flooded with refined emotion. Such poignant masterpieces. I hope you like them, too. Happy weekend!

LOVE. All these artists you've been highlighting all seem to have a similar style, which I love.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
I am a fan of Florence Harrison too. However, you should know that "Emma Florence Harrison" was not the illustrator of these pictures. She was misidentified due to lack of information. The real artist is now known to be "Florence Susan Harrison".
ReplyDeleteMy book on both of these artists will soon be released. Watch for it.
Cheers,
Sandy
L.G. Looking back on other posts, I see what you mean. I'm so fond of this style, too. It's beautiful. Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy: I will! Thanks :)
